Beautify Your Home
Friday, November 7, 2008

Because more and more people are finding themselves cramped into small apartments and houses, combination office/ guest room combinations are becoming more common all the time. Daybeds, bookcase headboards, and other affordable bedroom furniture can be worked into an office design to create a multi-purpose space that is both functional and beautiful. One idea for a workspace includes barstools as a replacement for the traditional office chair.

In a small space, storage is always a challenge. Why not try a new idea when designing your work area? You can purchase or build high tables and arrange them in a corner in an L-shape. Install shelving on the walls above the tables, and then use the ample space beneath the tall tables to store boxes and baskets full of office supplies, file cabinets, and even a small metal shelving unit. Then for seating, add one or two discount barstools with a swivel. These are great for use at a corner desk unit because you can simply swivel in the chair and have access to both tables at once. The Baxter Swivel Bar Stool has a comfy, padded, black faux leather seat and a very retro checkerboard pattern on the back. The stools are available in your choice of two heights: 26 or 30 inches.

The furniture engineers at Hillsdale Furniture designed this great barstool, and they also have many metal daybeds, trundle daybeds and loft beds to help you maximize the space you have available. Your two-in-one room will be twice as nice with Hillsdale’s discount bedroom furniture.
