The company is looking for the most original description entrants can concoct. Fans of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films should have no problem interior designing sleeping quarters for Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom and the rest of the big-screen buccaneer gang, but only the most inventive will take home the treasure chest. The winner will receive a Disney Pirates twin bed comforter set to makeover his or her very own pirate's bedroom. If history is any indication, this year's "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" easily stands to become a blockbuster hit. According to MovieWeb.com's "All Time Top 1000 Grossing Movies," the original "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl" ranks at number seven on its highest earners' list. And the second installment, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," does its predecessor one better with a number six ranking. The two installments combined have grossed over $845,000,000 in the U.S. domestic market. Your Bedroom Furniture Decor - Make It UniqueYou’ve been searching for a way to decorate your bedroom without copying any styles that you see in all the store setups, but you can’t seem to think of anything unique on your own. You’ve flipped through several thousand catalog pages, and nothing jumps out at you as an original idea to start with. How can you create unique bedroom décor that you’ll enjoy if you don’t even know where to start? Pick a single point of focus for you bedroom design. If you can’t decide, start with the headboard. Headboards are always one of the focal points of the room and should catch attention upon entering the room. Your first determination is what style you want to decorate in. If you choose to go with a classical design, you’ll want to consider a brass headboard, since this is a classy, old-fashioned material that can really bring out any other accessories in the room that shine with the brassy color. You can find large brass headboards with detailed designs in many places. Wooden headboards can work well for a classic style as well. If you go with wood for this style option, you’ll want to use a heavy wood like oak or mahogany and make sure that it is large and imposing with intricately carved designs. If you choose a Contemporary Headboard style, you can still opt for a wooden headboard, which will have much sharper angles, cleaner lines, and less intricate carving. Search through antique stores and little mom-n-pop shops for unique items that match your headboard, and buy one-of-a-kind hand carved pieces to assure that you are getting a unique item. You can even create décor of your own, simply purchasing pieces of wood to match a wooden headboard, carving out your own design (whether you are a realist and have an artistic ability or you are simply working out an “abstract” design) and mounting your work on the walls. If you want to get really creative, you can decorate your headboard. On a wrought iron headboard, you may choose to hang multicolored beads and faux jewels, while an unfinished or “naked” wooden headboard may prompt you to paint it any number of exotic colors or patterns. You can also buy material and pad and cover the headboard to create something totally different. Get creative, and build yourself a unique bedroom design by drawing out your inner artist, however untrained. Rather than opting to spend a great deal of money for something everyone else can get, do it yourself and find pleasure in your own ability and unique design.

Getting Creative with Full BedsWhile it may not seem as exciting as decorating with a king size bed, full beds are still useful in many rooms of the house and can be a joy to decorate. King beds aren’t practical in guest rooms, which are typically much smaller than the master bedroom, and using such a large bed and mattress combination can fill the room to the point that, even if you can include other furniture in the design, it’s too cramped for comfort. Also, as your children get older, a twin bed may not be large enough or long enough to be practical, especially if you have a son who seems to grow overnight. Here, too, full beds are a better option. When choosing to install a full sized set in any room, you don’t want to just leave the mattress and box spring undressed on the frame. You want to find the right way to decorate the room and the right style full bed for your purpose. Get creative and look at full captain beds for a guest room. Reminiscent of being out at sea on a boat, these ornate pieces will make the guest feel as though he’s in a larger bed without taking up the space of a queen or king mattress. Another option can be to browse different full size platform beds. The added height on a modern platform bed gives a better impression that you are sleeping in an adult-sized bed and, much like the captain bed, creates a sense that the bed is really larger than its actual dimensions. While a platform bed would not be a great option for smaller children, as they grow it could provide a bit of novelty to an otherwise bland room. For some, the idea of full size day beds invokes interest. In a guest room, this works out nicely because it provides a place to sleep, as well as a “couch” for daytime use. This means that the guests can be comfortable in their own room without feeling obligated to be in the living room with the host at all times, and the host doesn’t feel the need to entertain the guests constantly. With childrens furniture this can be fanciful for a young girl, and it can also provide a solution to spacial issues, especially if two children must share a room as they get older. You can still provide full beds for both children, with one sleeping on a rollaway trundle bed that slips under the daybed. As you can see, full beds don’t have to be plain and unappealing.
