Fun Summer Table Ideas

Summer is on its way!  It may have taken a long time getting here, but when it’s in full swing, this is the season for sun and lots of outdoor fun.  Whether you are having an outdoor party or want to bring summer inside, it is a great idea to spruce up your table.  This will become an effective focal point and help you create a very casual, yet elegant, mood.  One idea is to buy a bunch of bandanas in different colors. You can find these anywhere.  Stitch several together to make a very easy, effortlessly fun table runner.  Cut the remaining bandanas into fourths, and put some candy or other favors in the center.  Tie it up and use as a place setting and favor.  It’s bright, cheerful, and summery.

Another fun, very simple, idea is to use paper lanterns – not for lighting but for your centerpieces.  Upend a lantern and fill with very big, bold blooms, such as peonies.   This will look very classy but it takes so little time.  Enjoy the summer; there are hundreds of ideas for table settings and dressings that take only minutes and create a beautiful atmosphere.  Just make sure you  have enough modern wood bar stools to accommodate all the guests that will wander over!
