With rich deep red tones and the timeless look of solid wood, your modern headboard can transport you to a place where the breezes are warm and your biggest concern is what tropical drink to order next.

It is no secret that the cost of just about everything is going up these days, so families that want to add a new decorating touch to their homes are going about it in original ways. Instead of redecorating an entire room, you can simply look at adding one new piece to help make everything around it look new. One example is to add a contemporary metal bed to your bedroom décor. It may not sound like an earth shaking idea, but a contemporary metal bed can completely change the way a room looks without having to completely redesign it.
When you say “contemporary metal bed” to most people, the first thing you think is that a bed of this kind would be extremely expensive. While there are some contemporary metal beds that are expensive, you don’t have to empty your bank account to add a decorative flair to your bedroom. If the idea of getting a beautiful contemporary metal bed at a great price sounds too good to be true, it isn’t. You just have to shop at the right stores to find them.
One such store is Home and Bedroom. They sell contemporary metal beds with incredibly low shipping rates which makes buying a bed online not only smart but also savvy. They have a huge selection of contemporary metal beds to choose from, so it doesn’t matter what style or metal you are looking for, Home and Bedroom will have what you need.

Sonoma Twin Bedroom Set with Dresser
Going to yard sales can be a great deal of fun. You’re never sure what you are going to find when you begin your adventure. Some people take yard sale-ing very seriously, and go armed with a map of the area and a list of advertised yard sales. Others choose a more relaxed expedition, driving around until they find a sale they’d like to stop at. The only problem with going to yard sales is that, while you never know what you’re going to find, you also very rarely find what you’re looking for. If you’ve been searching for a child’s bedroom set at yard sales, you may be searching for a very long time.
The Sonoma Twin Bedroom Set is a completely and very inexpensive bedroom set that would work perfectly for a boy or a girl. This bedroom set features a bookcase headboard, a twin platform storage bed, a night stand, and a six drawer dresser. The unique thing about this bedroom set is how fully customizable it is. You can select to have the furniture either maple or black, and you can choose if you’d like it to be twin, full, queen, or king sized.
All of the customizable features look great and maintain the high standards of quality that Prepac Furniture has set for itself, making it the best deal for the best amount of money for any bedroom set that you will ever find, even if you have been searching for a set at yard sales.

Milwaukee Bed
On almost any website you turn to now, you’ll find someone trying to save money due to today’s ever-changing economy. A few years ago, people could easily spend a thousand dollars or more decorating their bedroom. Now, however, a thousand dollars is much more difficult to come by, and it doesn’t go nearly as far as it used to. Because of this, many believe that they can’t decorate their bedrooms the way that they would like, with a stylish and expensive-look. Fortunately, Hillsdale Furniture has made it their business to create inexpensive and beautiful furniture which is built to last and to look as though it cost a fortune to own.
Their iron beds are especially beautiful and are made with high quality iron and expert welding so that their products will last for generations. The Milwaukee Bed is one example of how Hillsdale Furniture has made it easy to be able to afford to change up your bedroom without having to spend a fortune. This metal bed is created using intricate curves and a simple design, making it beautiful and graceful without being tacky.
One thing that makes this metal bed even more interesting is the color. You won’t find a great deal of metal beds finished in black, and those that are often have a masculine look to them. Hillsdale Furniture has managed to take black and meld it with the flowing lines to create a beautiful piece of furniture that would work well in almost any bedroom.

Lily Rose Bed - South Shore Furniture
The captain of any ship generally had limited room in his cabin. Granted, he had the largest cabin in the entire ship, but that cabin still wasn’t a very large space. He needed to have room not only for his personal belongings, but usually for a desk and meeting place for officers. Those large, airy cabins that you see on the movies are a far cry from the reality, which was usually an eight foot by five foot cramped room. Because of this, furniture makers had to create a type of bed that could serve two purposes: to allow the captain to sleep in relative comfort, while also giving him a place to store some of his belongings. Enter the captain’s bed.
The captain’s bed is a wonderful design that pairs a bed on the top with a number of drawers on the bottom. It is similar to a platform bed, as no bed box spring is necessary, but with plenty of room for your belongings, making it the perfect type of bed to place in a child’s room. The Lily Rose Bed is a uniquely designed children’s captain bed that would be wonderful in any little girl’s room. This bed created by South Shore Furniture is finished in romantic pine, giving it a light touch. It even has decorative moulding and ceramic flower handles in order to make it the ideal bed for any young girl.

Janice Sleigh Bed
My sister was recently redecorating my niece’s bedroom. My niece had grown out of her childhood phase and was ready for something sleek, stylish, and mature. They had trouble agreeing on a bed. That is when they decided to call me for help. I asked my sister and my niece what their specifications were. They both said that they were envisioning a metal bed. Metal Beds, therefore, became my starting point.
Of course there were plenty of metal beds to choose from. There were metal beds with wooden accents. There were metal beds with straight lines and metal beds with curves. I knew that the bed for my niece would have to have a black finish in order to go with all of her new décor. So, I narrowed my search down to black metal beds. That is when I found the Janis Sleigh Bed. I thought it just might be the perfect bed for my niece. My sister requested a bed that is simple and versatile, and my niece requested a bed that was modern. The Janis Sleigh Bed was all that and more!
The time came to present the bed I had found to my sister and my niece. I showed the Janis Sleigh Bed to my sister first. She immediately fell in love with it. She said that it was simple yet modern and that it would go with anything should they decide to redecorate again. My niece wanted to order it right away when she saw it. She liked it because it looked stylish and she could choose between a full, queen or king. They purchased it and have been so pleased that my sister has decided to buy other Hillsdale Furniture products.

Dynasty Bed With Frame
Purchasing a new house with my new wife was the easy part. Furnishing it was a whole different story. We had to come to an agreement on how to decorate every room in the house, especially our bedroom. Together we decided that we wanted our bedroom to be a romantic place to escape to. We wanted it to be a comfortable haven for the two of us to be able to step away from our stresses and have quality time together. The bed is the focal point of every bedroom so that is what we focused on that first. We both agreed from the very beginning that we wanted look at metal beds.
As we began to look at the metal beds we began to notice that the Fashion Bed Group makes metal beds with very creative and distinctive scrollwork. We also noticed that their beds were very reasonably priced, which was important due to the fact that we had a whole house to buy furniture for.
As we searched for our new bed, we paid very close attention to the color. My wife had a very specific color scheme in mind. That is why we found the Dynasty Bed with Frame. It meets all of our specifications. The Dynasty Bed is the perfect focal point in our romantic bedroom. It is a metal bed. We were able to choose from five different finishes including Autumn Brown, Gold Frost, Pumice-Gold Bullion, Alabaster, and Tarnished Copper. The solid construction is also a plus.

Cozy Comfort Ideas for Your Bedroom This Season
Summer’s almost over, and you are starting to think about crisp autumn nights, curled up in your bed, enjoying the firelight and a cocktail while you relax and watch some television. However, as you look at your bedroom, you’re finding that it appears cold and uninviting, and you aren’t particularly anxious to spend a great deal of time in there right now. What can you do to make your bedroom cozier for the upcoming fall?
If you have Wooden Bedroom Furniture, you are already at a great starting point. Wood feels very festive for fall and winter, and you can do a lot to improve the decorative appearance without making any adjustments to your furniture at all. For example, you can take a dresser or armoire and wrap the handles in gold or burgundy ribbon and drape the top with a colorful autumn-colored scarf. You can change the sheets and comforter on the large oak bed to reflect the gold, burnt orange, and brilliant red of fall leaves, or you can go with a simple brown and tan motif. If you have a bed with posters, consider draping a canopy for the season.
Black Bedroom Furniture can present a bit more of a challenge because it is very stark and sleek regardless of the decor you include with it. However, consider temporarily upholstering your headboard with cheerful fall colors or a nice print that makes you think of the season. If you use staples, this can easily be removed or replaced with each season to come. You can also change the sheets and dressings on the bed to create a less cold, uninviting appearance, and if you get excited enough, perhaps you’ll even decide to paint some of the furniture or the room itself.
Working with contemporary beds is a bit easier because the styles are more versatile, and if you don’t have such a setup, you can find tons of gorgeous, inexpensive modern furniture and Fashion Bed Group Beds and Hillsdale House Furniture. When you get a wild hair to change your look this fall, make sure you create a comfortable space for your relaxation with cool fall colors.

Choosing the Right Wood for Your Bed
When you decide to decorate your bedroom with new furniture, you may want to use a lot of wood but are unsure of which type is best for your application. Whether you are purchasing a king size wood bed or are looking for youth furniture, there are probably several things you’ll want to consider in making the final determination between the various types of wood available.
First of all, determine the style in which you want to decorate. If you are looking for country bedroom furniture, you probably won’t be looking at dark, heavy woods. Cedar and oak are going to be the most common woods used in this traditional bedroom furniture, since that is what is available in country cabins and cottages and what was most often used in history in the country. Oak bedroom furniture in country style can be quite nice, and you can find it stained with an almost clear coat or slightly darkened. Cedar is similar, with a little more blondeness to the wood itself.
If you are looking for something more in the style of classical bedroom furniture, such as Victorian, Edwardian, or Baroque, you’ll probably want to shy away from cedar and oak and look for darker, harder woods from which furniture is made. Mahogany bedroom furniture works quite nicely to give a stately appearance to the furniture, appearing as though you were in a king’s or queen’s chamber two or three centuries ago. Cherry bedroom furniture can also be quite impressive, since cherry wood has a very sleek, expensive look to it, much like royalty and the aristocracy of the past. Either of these woods are often found in elaborate bedding, such as a wooden canopy bed.
With any style bed, even a metal bed, you may opt for a wooden headboard. This can add style and class to the room, being a heavy, intricate piece of art that stands large and looming above the bed or being a small, simplistic piece that simply accents the bed, falling into the background while other décor calls the viewer’s attention. Often, in a wood and iron bed, you’ll find a headboard perhaps with end pieces carved out of fine wood, such as French oak, with an intricately welded wrought iron design through the center of the headboard. This is quite a popular means of bringing more than one element of design into the room, allowing you to incorporate either modern or classic décor with comfort.
Choosing the wood for your bed is a matter of taste, especially if you have a particular style you want to achieve. In a childs bedroom furniture, if wood is the choice (more often, cheaper metal materials are used since bedding will change more often), you’ll want to use a tough but inexpensive wood, probably opting for oak. You can also choose to use MDF (medium density fiberboard – softwood chips bound with resin in extreme heat and pressure), which will stand for more abuse and is actually less expensive than wood.

Fashion Statement for Your HomeYour home is your refuge, your nesting ground and it is defined by your tastes and designs. At least it should be. Some people think that customizing their home to reflect their personality is an expensive undertaking. While this can certainly be true, it is by no means an absolute.
Fashion Bed Group is the largest and most innovative supplier of fashion beds. With all they have to offer you will surely find something to suit your needs and budget. They have amazing collections of pretty much any style you like.
If you are into a more romantic style, you will want to check out their selection of Brass beds or Sleigh beds. Both styles remind people of how simple life used to be and how such designs can help make your bedroom the romantic haven that you desire. In the Brass bed styles both the Franklin and Lillian collections offer a more clean, defined look. While the
Georgian bed appears to have a little more romantic elegant style with its scrollwork and accents.
Another great collection are the Sleigh beds that just seem to ooze that old time romantic atmosphere. Most of the sleigh beds come in the more traditional wood frames. However, the
Chancellor bed is gorgeous with its mainly metal construction with wood accents. The Sedona bed has a little more of a scroll design and it too has wood accents.
The
Fashion Bed Group also offers a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty and is known for both its durability and beauty.

Times have definitely changed over the years, and as a result many people do not seem to have enough hours in the day to do all that they wish they could do. One of the problems that many individuals seem to have due to such a busy schedule is a severe lack of sleep. Many times, even if they do end up getting in a couple of extra hours, it is still not the quality sleep that is necessary to function as a human being. If you seem to fall into this group, there are a couple of things that you may want to do to bring a good night of sleep back into your life.
Start off by making sure that you have a regular schedule and try to stick to it. With a schedule, you will be less likely to stretch yourself to the limit.
Try to get together a relaxing routine that you can enjoy before you go to bed. When you retire to the bedroom, perhaps soothing music or your favorite book will do the trick.
Certainly, one of the most important factors in your night of sleep is your bed itself. A new
bed may be the answer. A
bed that is sturdy, yet stylish will fit the bill for almost everyone that isn't sleeping well. When your body feels supported, you will in turn sleep better. If you don't feel your bedframe is the culprit, try getting a new mattress that is more suited to your needs. The perfect mattress and a good selection of pillows can mean the world of difference when it comes to sleep. You may even want to pamper yourself a bit further by splurging on a brand new bedding set to go along with your new mattress, making your bedroom an oasis that you cannot wait to retire to at the end of a long and busy day.

Winter is over, spring-cleaning has been done and now summer has firmly entrenched
itself, encouraging us to fully enjoy the season. Perhaps after the long winter months of windows being closed and freezing temperatures, it's time to air out and lighten up the bedroom. Your bedroom can become a calm and tranquil bower; here are some tips to get you started.
Try taking down heavy draperies and replace it with yards of lace curtains. Place (or move) a big mirror to a different wall, perhaps across from a window where it will catch the sunlight and bounce it around. If you are lucky enough to have hardwood flooring pack away the area rugs and you instantly have a room that appears larger and airier. You may want to try rearranging the furniture as sometimes something that simple can achieve the desired look.
If you are interested in replacing some of your furnishings and want to capture that
summer look and feel consider a daybed. They are not just for kids or guest rooms
anymore.
The Mulberry Daybed, with its elegant dusty bronze finish, camelback design
and gorgeous scrollwork is an excellent choice to compliment your style.
Also consider replacing your existing bedding with something a little fresher, lighter and airy. Try using linen or damask fabrics to show off the clear clean lines of the daybed. And don't forget to add several big, light colored fluffy pillows, perhaps with crocheted trim or smocking to really pull everything together allowing you to enjoy your new "summer" bedroom.

Because of the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer, it is only natural that you are going to want a cool and serene bedroom that you can escape to at the end of your day. If you are not feeling such a calm and cool vibe from your current bedroom set up, perhaps it is just about time that you took notes on some summer bedroom basics.
The first step is making sure that you lighten up! Take down your darker, heavy curtains and bring in something sheer that flows as the breeze comes through the window. More air flow in your bedroom means a much cooler feeling at night, making it much easier to sleep.
Next up, you would be amazed at what a new color scheme is going to be able to do for your bedroom. Think of some of the colors that make you think of summertime, including ocean blue, sea foam green, sunny yellow or even bright coral.
Does your bedding reflect a cool, summer oasis? If not, then perhaps the
Bay Heights canopy bed is just the thing that you need in order to bring the feeling of a summer breeze into your bedroom situation. This canopy bed is just right for draping some beautiful sheer, white material over the top, which is sure to make you feel as though you are heading off to slumber while resting on your own tropical island.
Keep your colors light and your fabrics even lighter, and take the time to enjoy the cool air as it comes through your window at night. Your bedroom will be filled with all of the wonders of a summer night before you know it.

A Modern Bedroom In Your Office - Don’t Make Sleep Seem Like Work
If you have limited space in your home or apartment, it can be difficult to arrange everything in the best possible fashion. One of the first ways that people consolidate space, sometimes even when it’s not necessary, is to locate their home office alongside their modern bedroom furniture. While this may seem like a convenient location and may be the only area of the home that makes sense at first glance, it may be a huge mistake to put your workstation in the one room that is supposed to be reserved for relaxation. Should you really put your office in your bedroom, and if not, what are the alternatives?
The bedroom should be equated with sleep, restfulness, peace, relaxation, and stress relief. Intimacy should be key, and you should want to spend free time in that room, indulging in things that you like to do. Meanwhile, the office is a work zone. It is about seriousness, deadlines, bills, meetings, and other issues that bring stress to the breaking point. These two scenarios obviously don’t seem to mesh well. Think about what it is like to wake up in a beautiful wood and iron bed on Saturday morning, and when you should be relaxed, and the first thing you see is the pile of bills on your work desk that need to be paid. This does not set a good tone for the day.
Instead of burdening your relaxation haven with your workspace, find another spot in the house. Even most efficiency apartments, the smallest homes you can find, usually have a small breakfast nook or alcove where you can stash the workstation. Cordon off a corner of the living room, or perhaps even use the formal dining room that is otherwise neglected. If you have a spare bedroom, give up the convenience of having the computer in your king size master bedroom and use the spare as an office. Get the area out of sight.
Whether you have a traditional or contemporary bedroom set, if you absolutely have to have your home office inside your bedroom, there are some things you can do to eliminate a few of the negative vibes coming form the workspace. Start by finding a way to divide up the room. For example, find a three-panel shade that you can stand in front of the workstation to act as a decoration and help hide the immediate eyesore of the office. You could also use file cabinets, armoires, and end tables to build “walls” around the office space, so that it simulates having its own room outside of the bedroom. Use a large metal headboard as a divisor and place your office behind your bed so it can’t be seen at night or upon waking in the morning.
If you can’t do either of these, at least have storage drawers where you can keep important files, and be sure to keep all the bills and work out of sight when not in use. A lot of affordable bedroom furniture will include a night table that can double as a file cabinet, and even some discounted bedroom furniture will have access drawers underneath. A proper indexing system will make it quick and easy to locate any file needed and then replace when done. Keeping work and pleasure separate is an essential part of life, and that includes separating your home office from your bedroom. If you can’t do it physically, at least make the attempt to do so virtually.
